Good beer great atmosphere good old fashioned pub

A "proper" real ale pub with 6 pumps in action . The landlord, staff and locals really made me feel welcome on my first visit yestersay! Musos hang around there too, with an acoustic session on Wednesdays!

Great selection of real ales and friendly staff and a cracking atmosphere. They have a microbrewery on site and arrange real ale festival's it can be hard to find if you are not a local but Google maps would help you

This pub is a hidden gem!! Great atmosphere and an excellent selection of Real Ales. They do not do food and there is no TV so full marks on both counts. Visited twice recently and had a great welcome each time. Well worth a visit
