Wonderful honey latte, and a nice menu of breakfast foods. The old brick building has a loft for quiet reading and a balcony overlooking the river. My new favorite spot!
I went to the shops for a specific reason: to have the pros help me find the right oil for a dish I was making. I was planning to purchase from all 3 shops this morning-- my oil, coffee from the coffee shop, and lunch at the restaurant-- but the oil shop left me aggravated, so I went to lunch and coffee elsewhere.
Please employ someone who has some customer service skills. This lady did not. And make sure she knows your product. And the gentleman, too. I asked for recommendations of an oil for roasting vegetables that would accompany a pork dish. She had no clue, and the gentleman more or less brushed her off when she asked. She then pulled out a cookbook (really?) and started looking up pork recipes. At that point I just grabbed something that I thought might go well together.
Also, you need to update your Bucky Book coupon. It states that the customer gets a FREE mini bottle of an oil or vinegar with a specific purchase. But there's a $5 limit. How can it be free if the mini bottle has a price of $8? Just take $5 off a purchase of $30 or more. And then, I was only given $4 off. I just don't understand your math. When I brought it to her attention, she got a little snotty. She went to find someone to help, but I got tired of waiting after a minute or two.
I haven't been here in a while because I live an hour away. It's going to be a while before I return.
*Edit* I just unpacked my items and didn't even receive the the "free" mini bottle I'd paid extra for.
I ordered a pepperoni flatbread at SoChopped. The worker accidentally ordered the margherita pizza. I informed them that we did not order that and they said they will get the correct pizza. However, the chef at Bodacious refused to make this pizza unless we pay for a whole new pizza. No refund but IN ADDITION. Absolutely absurd and unheard of. The employees at SoChopped were kind and apologetic. I loved Bodacious but that was extremely disappointing and terrible customer service.
Absolutely phenomenal! The potatoes were awesome! We are on the patio by the river. You won't regret it!
Finally made their food taste good then got rid of their vegan option.
I’m somebody who loves to come here. However i’ve taken notice that the employees are not all on the same page. Usually in the morning my drink is $5.28 and my lemonade is a bright hot pink color and tastes very sweet; love it. In the afternoons my lemonade costs $5.80 and is a murky light pink color and tastes sour; don’t hate it. I get the same exact thing everyday, so i guess i’m just confused? But i will be back.
Favorite coffee stop. Unique menu and delicious coffee!
Excellent atmosphere, coffee and food. Friendly staff.
only serve meals until 2. Nowhere on google or their menu do they specify this.
This is a beautiful Cafe on a river. It's a great place to get work done. Most of the food is egg based, so if you do not like eggs it's not a place for you to eat. They do have creative coffee flavors.
En route to a family reunion, I asked my daughter to search for a local coffee shop somewhere off the interstate. Far from both our starting point and destination, we ended up in downtown Janesville, WI, at an adorable location that served as a reminder of WHY I adore local coffee shops.
Super charming, friendly staff, a delicious hot coconut milk latte and a freshly made gluten-free scone. I wished we would have had time to sit and savor the views from the covered rear patio. Either there or inside the historic building would have been perfect places to wile away hours with a laptop or book.
Alas, an ideal respite during our lengthy road trip.

Comfortable cafe cradling cheerful creek. Stupendous seat selections!
We stopped in on our way out of town. My step daughter got a Chai brown sugar mocha and I the house blend coffee plain. Both were delicious. If we had time, we would have tried more vinegars in the attached tasing room. The cucumber melon balsamic was very tasty.
Only 1 person working behind the counter in the morning which is just nuts at a coffee place. She did her best with taking orders and then trying to prepare everyone's drink. Still it took 30 minutes to get my drink. I enjoyed their covered seating outside by the river, though. Later more workers showed up, so maybe this was just an odd event.
