The Boars Head Hotel

Our second time visiting the hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable with good facilities, 2 excellent nights sleep. Bar area lovely, sat next to fireplace and sports on TV , excellent selection of quality drinks too. Food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner , we both really enjoyed our meals and the portions were spot on. Staff were excellent, attentive and pleasant to speak with. Thanks for a pleasant 2 nights. Nearby activities: Less than 30 mins to Alton towers and the horse racing is very close also.

It's a lovely location and the food is good too. The menu needs more choice, especially for kids.

Fabulous stay - Had a one night stay Saturday 16 March to go to the races. What a charming & quaint hotel that gives you a personal touch. The staff were extremely polite & helpful particularly Tasha on reception & Anna at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious by the way & table service.I would definitely recommend and will certainly be back ❤️

Welcome dogs which was great for us, girls were lovely, hubby loved his curry best he's ever had & all enjoyed our other meals

Food & drinks: Enjoyed the food

Extremely comfortable bed & pillows. Clean cotton bedding & very tidy rooms. Great price including breakfast. The shower has a clever head, massaging feeling when the water falls on your back. Little things like that do count! Excellent customer service, we loved having our breakfast next to the fire. Gabby went an extra mile. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely recommend this place

An absolute gem ,one of our favourite places to stay . Food is excellent,so lovely to have home cooked meals with good sourced produce . Staff always so friendly and go above and beyond ,whatever you need just ask and it's done . They accommodate our very large family get together every year for the races. We have used this hotel for 30 years,several times a year and would not go anywhere else . Thankyou all again for helping us make special memories x Rooms: Large beds so clean sleep like a log . Food & drinks: The best ,so tasty and loved the steak and ale pie ....good homemade food . Puddings sooo moorish .
