Excellent food, I had Stilton cheesecake as starter and fish and chips. Of the seven of us not a scrap was left. We did have a problem with one plate of fish and chips but this was quickly replaced and FOC. The place was packed so booking required and so busy they have a second chef starting at the weekend. I can't recommend this place any higher Vegetarian options: Available, veg and vegan Dietary restrictions: Limited availability but second chef starting soon with plans to increase choices. I would recommend ringing to confirm if you have severe restrictions Parking: Small car park, mostly street parking Kid-friendliness: Kid menu Wheelchair accessibility: Not loads of room as it's a village pub but slopes over the step through accessible entrance
Special BBQ on, Bank Holiday Monday. Very good food. Beer great.
I went there last Friday (23rd Feb 2024) and I dont really know what I was expecting, but I did find was one of the nicest pubs I've been to in a long while. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the diversion. The food was lovely, the drinks (coffee) was of high quality. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely going back. They also have food trucks every Friday and quite often have live music at the weekends.
We had the small plates option for lunch, with three different choices, and all were good quality, and the quantities were "good" sized small. Charlwood Vixen cask beer was good too
Nice warm cosy village pub - good choice of draught ales - pleasant friendly staff and food looks good but not sampled ..... Yet!
