The Artery Community Roasters

Bought 2 bags of coffee, very high quality beans! Other local roaster mainly sell medium to dark roast beans. Light roasts are hard to find but look no further this place is awsome and has so much selection to choose from. I will definitely be ordering more beans from artery!

I first discovered The Artery over a year ago at a farmer's market, and since then, these are the only coffee beans I buy! I've never had a bad batch, but Stephen Hawkbean and Spro Jackson are my favourites... Add to that this is an ethical, socially responsible business and you can't go wrong!

The coffee itself is incredibly flavorful and the quality is incredible: easily 5/5 for the product itself. I ordered Funky Fruit after trying and voting for it as best coffee at Ottawa Coffee Fest. The flavor is perfection if you want a special super fruity but also pleasantly strong pour over coffee. Seriously one of the most memorable coffees I've ever had, although it's very pricey it is worth it as a once in a while treat. The issue was how difficult it was to pick up the coffee after I had ordered and payed for it - rating (2/5) for convinience. As someone who works 9-5, I had no way to pick up my coffee as the business is only open 2 weekdays from 10am-3pm. I live nearby and am not looking to pay shipping on coffee that I can easily pickup. After talking with Will, who was very nice, he agreed to leave the coffee outside for me to pick up after they had closed which was kind of him. It's just unfortunate to have to make special arrangements to pick up a bag of coffee due to inconvenient/almost non existent hours of operation. As an overall experience id say 3.5/5 but rounded to 4 due to their quality product.

Fantastic specialty coffee, especially if you enjoy lighter roasts and unique varieties. I’ve purchased both the Yellow Cat espresso and Light Through the Cracks, which I prepare as a pour over. The latter is a gesha, which you don’t really find elsewhere in Ottawa. The fact that this business does good in the community adds to its value. Let’s support more businesses like Artery. I hope they can eventually open a retail location closer to the core of the city.

Fantastic coffee! After ordering from them a few times, I signed up for a subscription and am very happy with it. I'm always recommending Artery to people now!
