Surprisingly great fish and chips in Minneapolis.
In Minneapolis for the Big 10 Basketball tournament! What a great place for dinner. At our table we had the Shepherds Pie, Fish-n-Chips and Meat Pasties with Chips! All were excellent - make sure to get the gravy for the Pastie and Chips!
This restaurant has been a favorite of mine since moving to the neighborhood a couple years ago. Fish and chips are the best Ive had in the metro area, certainly beating out the much more expensive pub style restaurants in the trendier parts of the metro like Brits. The fish and chips is really the star here. Rest of the menu is serviceable, but its definitely not what anyone makes the trip for. Good drink options as well, including a couple NAs. Servers have always been good to me and the food comes out pretty quick.
So very good!! I have two favorite places to go for fish in the cities! This one is open year long!
Obviously get the fish and chips. It does not disappoint, especially for the price. Came in super hungry considering 2 orders and only needed one. Fries are plenty and perfect mix of some crunchy and some soft. Kid-friendliness: Likely fine at the busiest hours, but can only speak to the Wednesday 8pm crowd.... totally fine having seen 3 inside having a blast.
Usually great but today the fish was overcooked and underseasoned
