Good 'ol fashioned boozer, good atmosphere with a good selection of beers and ales. It's a locals pub but don't let that put you off.
Not had food, but it's a lovely little pub and one of the oldest pubs in Bournemouth and Poole, early 1800's I believe. Shame it had to downsize but they sure don't do guest houses like this anymore.
The Acorn I have only given 2 stars. I cannot forgive a pub that has a dirty gents lounge toilet and a dirty sink and a dirty mop and bucket , left in the washing area. The rest of the pub is dusty, and the carpet needs an industrial clean. I wouldn't want to eat any food in this place. Though it looks cosy, it is a very run-down pub. They're isn't even a toilet brush in the men's lounge toilet , no wonder it is dirty inside.
Attentive staff & great tasting beer selection. Visited here for the first time after Friday night 5 aside footy. It is a rather old pub but charming due to friendly staff and the atmosphere. Recommended.
Great pub with lovely ales and fantastic bar staff and good banter.
