Texlahoma BBQ

Nice workers & clean restaurant. But the food is below average. Grizzly brisket. Poor recipes for green beans & okra. Love bbq but this, unfortunately, isn't the place to get it right.

Lady at the counter seemed angry we showed up for dinner, was rude and very impolite, when we told her the side we wanted she said, no joke, "we is out of that. We is out of that. We is out of that." So we jokingly asked maybe she should tell us what they do have and she was not amused. No food at the restaurant and made to feel guilty for trying to patron their establishment. Shocking.

The ribs were nice and tender however not very much of a smokey flavor. The sauce is more like Carolina sweet not rich and bold like you find in this part of the country. I'll pass on the sauce. The baked beans were good not great. Please redo the green beans with some seasoning. The green beans weren't tender, add a little onion and bacon to them with a hint of garlic powder and pepper. I love green beans and I'd never have theirs again. The slice of bread I got was old and hard. I'll go back and order just meat and use another sauce. I've eaten bar-b-q I'm Kansas City, Memphis and Texas so using Kansas City's Q39 as a 10 Texlahoma is about a 5.5 not bad certainly not great.

The take out briskit was nearly all fat and the corn side was yuck!
