Authentic mainstay of 10th street Hillsboro. Try it!
Doesn’t even deserve a 1 star in my opinion. food was horrible, very bland and not authentic at all. Everything needed hella salt. if you can’t even cook rice right, then you shouldn’t even be selling anything. My husband ordered taquitos and they were literally premade frozen taquitos that were bought off a vendor. My rice and beans were so bland, tasted like nothing. We ordered chips and salsa and they gave us pico de gallo, that’s not the same. And when we asked for more salsa, the server gave us attitude. Such a disgrace to Mexican food. Won’t ever be coming back.
This place was recommended to me by someone who said they used to live in Hillsboro and loved the tacos from Ochoa's. I thought i'd try them out.. Upon walking in i was hit with the smell of sitting water and possible mold..instead of delicious Mexican food. The air was chilled and not warm in any area of the restaurant. The cashier had very dirty hands and dirty long nails serving food to everyone on thin flimsy Styrofoam plates. The street tacos I ordered were old and cold and hard and lacked spice of any kind. Not even salt or pepper. More fat pieces than meat and I had to throw all 4 of them out. Wasting money and food. The locals really need to help fix Ochoa's by being honest about the quality of their food. Or ask what happened if they "USED TO BE GOOD? " I Really wanted go leave an amazing review but simply cannot.
Ochoa's is a good and reliable Mexican restaurant. We often buy their meat by the pound and make our own tacos. Their carnitas is a great deal. Friendly staff and a clean location.
A lot of options, for everyone.
Best burritos in Hillsboro!
