Taqueria Al Lado II

Taqueria Al Lado does an Ecuadorian food pop up on Sundays. I ordered the encebollado mixto. The flavors hit the spot, and warmed me up on this cold Sunday.

I love the cod tacos here! A burst of flavor with the sauces to top it off!

My husband and I each had a Chipotle Quesadilla and it was the best Quesadilla that either of us have ever had! Great find!! We will be back the next time we are in the area!

We had some Tacos with different toppings, can recommend the Chipotle-marinated chicken. When you order some Chips, you will have enough for 2-3 people. The queso was good aswell.

Update: even better. Campechano taco or salad is ++good. More interesting taco than anything in the neighborhood ever before. Fully good. Not haute cuisine, but meats tender, fried stuff was crispy, and sauces complex. The self-mixology on the mobile tequila menu was surprisingly entertaining. Choose your Tequila and your preparation. Tequila Negroni! Paloma was real and fresh grapefruit. Vegetarian options: Interesting vegan tacos. Kid-friendliness: My 4 yr old was happy, but there's some mild spice in everything, even the corn.

My wife said that this place has been on her list for some time.. if you are a DC native you will know that this is the old location for horace and dickies. Anyway this new establishment added an exterior awning so you'll be able to have seating options which weren't available with the previous tenant. We went on a relatively cold day but they do have heating lamps the only issue is that they time out and so you have to keep asking them to come back and turn it on. The food came out quickly very fresh prices are reasonable portions are substantial. Plan to come back and try a quesadilla as well as some more tacos they have a wide range of meat/vegetarian options. If you're in the area stop by. I would definitely recommend it.

This is fantastic taqueria food in every respect. Tacos were perfect. Margaritas mixed well. Atmosphere is beyond perfect, indoor and covered outdoor with heaters. So good. Must try on H street. Sábado elevado.
