Tangs Restaurant

A spontaneous visit after landing at Manchester airport. We were lucky to get a table! Even though we hadn’t booked, they were very accommodating and friendly the entire time. Lots of nice touches such as the fruit platter at the end and providing hot cloths in between courses. Thank you!

Wasn't going here originally, but plans were changed last minute and Tangs were able to accommodate us. So glad our plans were changed as we have not been here before, but will definitely go back. Food and service was fantastic. Very busy too, for early on a Friday evening. I suppose that's testament to the hard work of the staff and quality of food from the chefs. Thank you

Great food, service and atmosphere

We ordered a banquet take away for three people which was £75. We expected it to be this cost and previously the food has been exceptional however tonight it unfortunately fell way below our expectations. The soup was lovely however the dim sum were not great. The spring rolls were soggy and the portion of seaweed was not enough to feed one let alone three. We joked about having a teaspoon each. Then onto the duck - which was a good size for three however we were not given any hoisin sauce and did not have any in. The majority of this course was therefore not eaten. The main course of prawns was excellent and the other two courses were ok but nothing special. It’s unfortunate we won’t be going again - we pay the ‘extra’ for exceptional food however on this occasion Tangs did not deliver.

How have I not found this restaurant before. Living in wilmslow we are spoiled by fantastic restaurants, but not a fantastic Chinese restaurant. Travelled to Tangs. Food was as good as as the top restaurants in China town. Very very happy and will 100% be back.

The food is very good. The service was attentive but not intrusive. There's a separate vegan menu, which is ideal for me, and they also provide a gluten-free menu for coeliacs. The restaurant was very busy, but service time was still good.

Booked a table couple of hours before this evening and service plus food was excellent, the two young people running restaurant where very helpful and well mannered , the food was really tasty and flavours good to. Would recommend.
