Tampa Bay Downs

Live Racing: Nov. 24 thru May 7, 2022. Tampa Bay Downs is the only Thoroughbred track on Florida's west coast. Opening the doors in 1926 as Tampa Downs, the track has a long history and presence within the community. Current ownership purchased the track in 1986 and Tampa Bay Downs has been continually improving, ever since. A 7/8th mile turf course, complete with a 1/4 mile chute was added in 1998, and has become one of the most popular grass courses in North America. The millennium brought more additions: the Downs Golf Practice Facility, where patrons can practice their swing while viewing and wagering on simulcast wagering; the Silks Poker Room was also opened during 2003. Both of which are open 7 days a week!
