Our tamales are not just food—they are an experience rooted in history and culture. We are proud to call ourselves The House of Blue Masa, because everything we create uses this unique, striking ingredient. Blue masa holds a special place in our hearts, and we use it as a nod to the past and a step toward innovation. The name Tamal or The Forbidden Tamal comes from a powerful piece of history. There was a time, during the Aztec era, when corn, a sacred food of the people, was nearly banned. This association with the forbidden gives our tamales a story, one where tradition meets a bold, fresh approach.
