Perfect spot for a quick healthy lunch. Was in the navy yard for a few days and went here a few times. Very consistent and quick.
Takorean was given a high endorsement from an associate of mine to try while in Washington DC. They were not wrong. Cleanliness. 4.5 of 5. The restaurant was well maintained and appeared very clean. Service: 3.5 of 5. Staff was professional but not talkative to the customers. A little more interaction would have been nice for a first trial run. Food quantity 5 of 5. I ordered the slaw bowl that had romaine slaw with some kimchi slaw. For the meat I had chicken. Additions were tomatoes, pickled daikon radish, and cilantro. A lot of food, left the restaurant full. Food quality 5 of 5. Every bite was full of flavor and pleasant. The aroma of the food matched the taste. Though late in the day when I solicited the restaurant, the food was still fresh, delicious, and delightful. Price: $$ 15-20 per person would be reasonable, I didn’t chose a lot of options that could increase one’s bill. Overall I would give this restaurant a 4.5 of 5
Bulgogi bowl with a poached egg was amazing - typical DC prices
One of the best fast food spots in Navy Yard. Can’t go wrong with any of the menu options. Staff is friendly, and the food quality is always consistent. Definitely recommend.
Seriously need a new menu! Everything is so blah. Good but blah!
Consistent fare and popular spot in the area. I'm not a fan of their version of kimchi, but it's fusion so they get a pass. I'm half Korean and fast food Korean food outside of a food court in the mall is still not mainstream. I view their bowl as close to bibimbap as I'm going to get in the area. So it almost scratches the itch when I'm craving it.
An interesting mix of flavors. Beyond that, it is just typical fast, casual food.
