Taiyuan restaurant

Wouldn't recommend to anyone. We always get Chinese from Tea House but they open from 5 and as we decided to look for something new around that was our big mistake. Our order was just under £50 and to be honest nothing was nice: king prawn curry with 5 prawns and tasteless sauce, duck with vegetables - duck was so chewy and taste was absolutely disgusting - dogs had for dinner.Salt & chilli chicken was fine. And we got rice with chicken for kids which also didn't taste right. Chicken was a bit off. As we saw 4.4 rating we hoped for something ok. I strongly would not to recommend.

Fried rice was cold and more like boiled rice and the chicken and mushroom was slimey like frogspawn . Won't be back

I never order takeaway food.. However last night I decided to order from here. Apart from the Tea House which is amazing I used to dine in here regularly so thought the food would be lovely. I was really disappointed. I ordered beef I'm a sauce which was undercooked and freezing. Fried rice it was cold and salt and chilli chips which would have been lovely had then not been rebooked and cold. It went in the bin. Not cheap at £20 either .Won't be ordering again

Receptionist was lovely, happy and chatty but also seemed so busy (and a bit stressed) I felt bad for her. I picked up an order placed over the phone.

Always great food Well priced

The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic but recently I have been left disappointed with my meal. The Taiyuan is renowned for it's salt and chilli chips which without doubt are amazing but as for my curry I found the chicken tough and overcooked.

Nothing wrong with the food, but the delivery service is terrible, or they can't cope with the volume of orders, in excess of two hours for a delivery and that has happened twice recently.
