Tacos La Familia

Good food. I been there multiple times and order the same but last time the Familia fries were significantly smaller, around 1/3 smaller, less ingredients and inferior flavor. Street tacos still great and the horchatas are among the best around. I gave them 3 stars because of inconsistency. I still recommend this food truck I just wasn't lucky today.

Carnitas and birria are my favs but they do have other protein options that are all good. This local family (born and raised in PHX) puts Hella love into there craft!

I live in Tempe but I don't mind taking the drive to the Tacos la Familia truck for their authentic Mexican food. The staff are very quick and hospitable. I normally get my food to go but they do have tables to sit. I love to get is their birria quesatacos and pair it with their red salsa, which is the perfect amount of spice. I also highly reccomend trying their cucumber pineapple agua fresca, it's so good and refreshing, especially in the summer heat.

Dos estrellas porque el mesero es buena onda, fuera de eso la verdad la tortilla estaba dura, seca y no estaba caliente, la carne asada en mi opinión está un poquito seca, mi primo pidió un taco de cabeza y dijo que tampoco estaba buena. Podrían ampliar la selección de salsas ya que nomás tienen 2 y las 2 son picantes, a mi en lo personal me gusta ponerles salsas a los tacos para dar sabor (salsa de tomate, tatemada, de tomatillo) y aparte poquita de chile de árbol para el picante, pero tampoco puras picantes (las de ellos me parece eran de tomatillo picante y tatemada picante). El guacamole te lo cobran a parte y es muy poco lo que te dan, hay otras salsas que usan las taquerías que no usan tanto aguacate (pq es caro) pero le meten cilantro, calabaza, ajo, cebolla y más cosas para hacerlas puré para asemejar un sabor al guacamole y siento que podría ser muy buen complemento.

Made the drive down from South Phx to try Tacos La Familia after seeing Señor Foodies ig post. It was 💯% worth it! The pollo asado was very flavorful, authentic and grilled to perfection. My favorites were the vampiros y queso tacos that come with a delectable crispy cheese crust. Their salsas are so good; my hubby and I especially loved the unique mango habanero salsa😋 I can rave about their Strawberry Horchata all day 🍓🥛🥹 it’s mad good!!!😍 to me, it tastes similar to strawberry cheesecake. Their superior customer service does not go unnoticed. The owner and cooks are very friendly, welcoming and attentive, it makes this taquería stand out! So happy we finally got to try it- we will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu items👏🏼 5🌟

Best Horchata Hands down! They also have some of the best carne asadas fries! We’ve used them for catering for many events from weddings, company Xmas dinners and my birthday and they always show out!
