I became a fan of Taco John's about 30 years ago. Anytime we took a family vacation out west, let's find some Taco John's. It's so much better than the other fast food taco place. Not even comparable, honestly. The food is WAY better and the prices are, too. It's magical. About 7 years ago I became aware of a Taco John's 3 hours away from me to the west. I was elated. It was worth 6 hours in the car round trip and everything I remembered it to be. More recently, on a driving business trip, I discovered another one 2 hours east of me. Again, completely worth the drive. Unbeknownst to me, almost a year ago, this one opened less than an hour away from me. And again, it was everything I have always remembered Taco John's to be. Almost all of the sit-down only mexican restaurants in this area serve massively inferior tacos. Today/tonight we spent a bunch of time driving looking for somewhere to eat, I saw Taco John's on the upcoming exit sign and lost my mind. We went nuts: crispy tacos, ole's, four cheese quesadilla for one of our kids, cheesy beef & potato tacos for another kid, (was going to do refried beans for the baby, but mommy and some apple sauce we brought took care of him), flounder tacos because why not, more ole's, guadqmole and nacho cheese for our ole's, and churros and mexican donut bites for dessert because why not?! Every Taco John's I have ever been to has been *CLEAN*, and like all the others, this one is *CLEAN*, too. I hope that we get one closer to home soon, but until we do, we will be back to this location MANY, MANY times. The food at Taco John's is amazing and it's a better value than anywhere else. We all talked about how great the food was the whole way home. And called our in-laws to let them know the great news about FINALLY a local Taco John's. We will be coming back MANY, MANY times. For anyone reading this: You can eat their soft tacos in the restaurant or on the go, the addictive-like-crack potato ole's cup fits in your cup holder, and so will your drink. For low IQ people (and if you think that's not you, that's you), do not attempt to eat Taco John's, or anything else for that matter, or even chew gum, while driving. Taco John's is 3x what you hoped the other taco place would be the drunkest you've ever been, but you can eat here sober, as we did, without the other taco place well-known "syndrome." Taco John's is actually really good food. Meanwhile, it's against the law to serve the other place's food to inmates -- seriously, look it up. I would have included pics, but we annihilated our food. Next time! Vegetarian options: Plenty of as-is options, but you can do everything without meat. Why you would when it's so good here, I don't know, but you can. If you're vegetarian and give yourself cheat days this is the place to use them. Parking: Plenty of free parking. Kid-friendliness: Our kids went bananas for Taco John's. It's usually hard to get them to eat their food, but they wanted more after finishing their food, which obviously we provided. Got myself a little something, too. haha Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, super easy access for wheelchairs. Lots of wheelchair accessible seating, too.
You've made poor life choices. After watching unsanitary people fumble around between registers and the kitchen (sometimes with gloves, sometimes without), touching/scratching their faces and arguing for 15 minutes, you will finally receive your small overpriced order. Then begins your test of mental strength as you swallow each bite, repeating to yourself "it's not got bodily fluids in it, it's not going to make me sick" until you're finished. On the upside you won't have an appetite for the rest of the day!
Second visit in 1 week. Drive thru on Cin Day Road in West Chester, Ohio. Both tines I was indecisive and the employee was very patient and helpful. The food received was hot, fresh, and made to order with what appear to be quality ingredients. Second visit took advantage of a BOGO foe $1 offer, and received plenty of food for 2 of us. I will be frequenting this location often.
