Sushi Obsession

Excellent food not sure why they got rid of the rewards program.

Service was great, but the food is not good, not what I expect of sushi, so no obsession here.

Spotted Sushi Obsession on various socials and decided to give it a try. We were excited to support local and visited for a late lunch in Nov 2023. Pulled into the lot and there was ample parking. However, the curb appeal was non existent as it is located at the end of line of an aging and unkept strip mall. Entered the facility and it was not as expected from the videos but there were several patrons so decided to give it a try despite the lackluster atmosphere. The two young gentleman kindly greeted us and were charismatic. Service was fine. We ordered: 1 Doug Special, 1 Spicy Tuna, 1 chicken Yakisoba, 1 Edamame and waited for our order. While waiting noticed the restaurant was warm and seemed to be a place better suited for takeout. Food arrived very quickly and again service was fine. The young man was kind and pleasant. Unfortunately, our honest feedback is the food was below par. The rolls were overly dressed, the sushi rice seemed off and it did not taste fresh. For folks who like an over abundance of sauce may like this; however, it felt overly dressed in an effort to mask poor quality. The Yakisoba was very salty and chicken texture was off too. The edamame was tasty. I really wanted to like this place but I can not give a positive recommendation at this time. Perhaps it was an off day in the kitchen.

Food is good, the only thing I hate about this place is that they NEVER pick up their phones, I would get it if they are busy but sometimes I want to make a phone order so I do not end up waiting 20 minutes for my food, no one picks up and I walk in just to see the place empty and young girls gossiping in front. It says order online but they do not always have the daily special rates and sometimes I just want to call because I'm driving from work. It's so frustrating with the lack of service this place has because the food and price and location from my house is all great.

I love this place. They have sushi nachos here which I have never heard of at any other place I've been.

Food is great but i ordered at 12:30 & they said 2hrs for half a tray of sushi nachos. Went for pick up at 2pm they said another extra hr. Went in again at 3pm they said extra 10mins. This is the last time im ordering from them. Food isnt consistent anyway. Ordered it 3 times & it was different every time altho ordered the exact same thing every time. Sad but ill make it myself at home for much cheaper anyway
