The koketaro sando was awesome! Would definitely recommend giving it a try with the crispy katsu style chicken!
I had the kimchi and pork sando and it was really good. It had good proportions of toppings and was not stingy with the amount of meat which is always a plus! My only suggestion would be if the pork were just a little softer, it would make it easier to eat because the sandwich form factor is very delicate.
The 2 stars are for the Crunchy Munchy roll that was okay, because the sandwich was absolutely horrible. First of, I ordered the “Fox in Translation” and it said in the menu that there’s cucumbers in it, and when I got my sandwich there was pickles instead (very bad quality pickles), the cream cheese wasn’t plain cream cheese, it was the chives and onions type. They don’t specify stuff, they don’t let you make any substitution, I’m sad because I’ve been wanting to try it for a while and it was a big disappointment! It tasted like everything but sushi. Not worthy it for how expensive it is! We paid almost $50 for this, never coming back
Service was fast a kind but the food was …bad. I hate to say it because I was really looking forward to it. I got a shrimp tempura sushi sandwich and the lox one as well. It was underwhelming in quality. Way too much dill and whatever mayo that was on that also had dill on the lox—not well constructed. The shrimp tempura was soggy and the flavor was just not great. I was expecting something fresh and decadent with well balanced flavor. I genuinely think I could have done a better job. I didn’t finish either of them and I’m like a good finisher ALWAYS. Even mediocre foodI will devour it. hope they improve asap because I love the idea.
Wow!! Did not expect to enjoy a ‘sushi sando’ as much as I did! I ordered the Hot Tunny and it was incredible! Great flavors, textures and full of spicy tuna! Highly recommend! My only regret is that I wasn’t able to try more. I look forward to returning (soon!).
Sushi obviously can be a bit expensive but I still enjoyed their sandwich sushi. A friend said they could get a sushi burrito at Poke something in the mall for cheaper and bigger. Never been so can't judge on that. The cold edamame side was a hard pass, having it cold felt too raw and not at all enjoyable. Like them warm preferably.
