Sura Korean Restaurant

I recommend checking out the restaurant which has been renovated under new owners. The food coming with each menu item is much more plentiful than the menu indicates, which is why each price seems high. We got 3 items but we could have got away with 2 and less leftovers. Also, the appetizer dishes come with refills! The cheesy dak entree was fantastic, although just hovering around our spice tolerance. The pork belly was great. It's a bit different from other BBQ places: the servers offer to cook the dishes for you at the table. The young woman serving our table was very friendly and easy to chat with.

By the new operator, they serve good food. They marinated the meat just right! The lettuce for wrapping meat can be refilled and the meat goes with appetizers (small plates), rice & ice scoop. Average costs for us $40. Their service is efficient.

sura was one of our favorite place for korea bbq. we were so exticed to visit after they finished the renovation. however we got so disapointted this time. if you are looking for bbq meat to fullfill your stomach, it is a wrong place to go. Though they still have pork, chicken, beef, it obvious to tell the meat quality is lower then before with no flavour at all. service was ok except no one has ever mentioned the small appatizer that comes with the bbq combo could be refilled. it was ironic that i got this info from one of my friend after dine in the restaurant. After paid the bill, we sit a little while longer to finish the dessert. when we were leaving, one of the elder server (looks like a manager) followed us by the entrance asking if we paid the bill or not. we found this obviously offensive and rude. do not go this place, i am sorry to say that but overall terrible experience.

Absolutely horrendous. We used to eat here all the time and loved it. Great portions, great flavour, great atmosphere. But since the new renovations, things have…changed. Ridiculously small portions for insanely inflated prices. Low quality, chewy, flavourless beef. We asked to speak to the manager after the first bite, but he waited till we were ready to walk out before coming to see what was wrong. We told him the portions were way too small and the food had no flavour. He just stared blankly at us and said that’s the portion he always gives ppl and he knows there is no flavour. No offer to make it right…he didn’t seem ashamed at all despite agreeing that the portions were small and the meat lacked flavour. The serving staff were nice and very apologetic (I could tell they’ve had MANY similar complaints). Absolutely would never eat here again and steer clear unless tiny flavourless portions for exorbitant prices is your thing. Terrible.

Foods were good but it’s way too expensive. Staffs are nice tho.
