Sunrise Steakhouse

The place was nice but they clearly are not ready to be opened. So many things wrong. Beautiful bar but no alcohol license. Waitresses who clearly never waitressed before and never received training i.e never asked how i wanted my steak cooked, never offered water when glasses were empty, never introduced herself. I could keep going but you get it. My husband ordered a very small snapper. We had overpriced chicken wings which were frozen. When i received my meal 10 minutes.....thats right, 10 minutes after my husband got his (and the only reason i got it was because my husband got up to find out why) the steak tips were tough and cold and some of the potatoes were not done. I will never go back and i really dont see it lasting.

If you're looking for a beautiful,classy atmosphere to relax and enjoy good food with your spouse or loved ones Sunrise Steakhouse is the place to go to! Love love love it and we will drive the distance from Melrose to Brockton it's worth it

I gave this place 3 stars only because of the customer service and the it’s very nice and clean inside. I ordered the black djondjon rice with griyo which cost me $23 and it was really bad. The owner apologized and offered to make me something else. He also gave me a free side and some ginger tea which was really good, while I waited. I thought that he was going turn the whole situation around but no. He gave me the same griyo which tasted funny and bunch of unflavored fried plantain. It was obvious that the meat was from days ago. I was really upset because I was really hungry. I ended up going to chic fillet after. It’s a shame because the restaurant is really nice but I will not be returning unless they get a better chef or something.

My friends and I enjoyed this place; the service and the staff were amazing and do not get me started on their setting! Their place is absolutely amazing. Thank you for your service around Brockton community; We are coming back for more…

I hate that I have to give it the score I am with some many things that were amazing but I will explain … the goods first… the atmosphere, decor, service and flavors were all amazing. You can tell the place is brand new as it looks stunning. We went on Valentine’s Day and had a super nice waitress who was so personable and funny, she really made the night enjoyable. The flavor plate for most items was really good and authentic. The stand outs were the plantains and calamari. The few items that missed … really missed which is why the overall score. The chicken wing app are frozen wing dings from my guess restaurant depot. One accidentally fell while being transported so she went and had another “freshly” cooked but when she brought it back it was room temp and opened with no steam whatsoever. They also had that gooey inside texture that frozen wings have when fried. The other miss were both the skirt steak and the steak tips. Again, this wasn’t because of the flavor but how they were cooked. We both asked for medium well and they came out like leather. You can see in the pictures. Usually a steak will have the juices underneath on the plate and when you cut in you lose some… not here. I actually thought my steak tips were pork chops due to the texture and color. The manager came over without us asking for him to check in and I shared my feedback which he understood and agreed. Being fairly new I understand missteps but as a “steakhouse” that is one thing you can’t mess up. As a courtesy he brought over the “fresh” cookie sandwich at no charge as an apology. The cookie was hard and definitely not cooked that day (actually reminded me of store brand cookies). In review, the flavors, atmosphere and service were all amazing. I would highly suggest having a specialty steak chef to nail the most important entree on menu. I would also think about adding fresh items to highly ordered items like chicken wings and desserts. Wishing the best for this local minority owned business and will definitely be back to try it again!!

I popped in after seeing this place online. Got the skirt steak. Tender and juicy. Good service.

Two friends and I went to the grand opening and we loved it! The decor is elegant and inviting. The ambiance is warm. Our server was really sweet. The entire staff worked their tails off. Our meals were beautifully presented. The kabrit was tasty. I think we've found a new favorite spot. Parking: Sunrise is in a plaza very close to Brockton Hospital with few other businesses. So there is a lot of parking in an open lot. Even if the plaza was full there is still a ton of parking.

I really enjoyed everything that I ate. I had the sunrise griyot and waffles, flying fish, Haitian red beans and rice, green beans, plantains, and calamari. All were great choices. The wait staff were very professional. The ambience is very comfortable and classy.
