There is not a lot of variety in this little store but it certainly has room to grow. The food is homemade and absolutely delicious. I had a great experience
The home made granola really is out of this world. A must-try!
I popped in to congratulate the owners of scaling the Calling All Dreamers competition from a previous year. They weren’t there, instead what I found myself delving into were the Tahini Butter Cups. What a treat! It being a hot summer day meant I had no choice but to eat all 4 almost immediately [wink wink]. They’re exceptionally delicious! The server was especially engaging and very pleasant. I’m giving 5 stars because the atmosphere was the cherry on top; packaging of products, logos, music playing, custom made tables with planters, decor, layout and lighting truly captures a unique experience.
I like sun soil & have frequented this spot weekly! The staff is super nice & the protein shakes are bomb! It's clean & aesthetically pleasing! My only concern I have is after many visits the stack of points I had have vanished- if it's a computer error seems fair that my account should be fixed & updated.
Good stuff, but very expensive.
UPDATE: I ordered some juice for delivery. They didn't have orange juice. The beet lemonade was okay. I mixed in a ginger shot, which made it better. Whatever you do, don't mix their "immunity shot" to any other drink. It is savory and tastes like soup broth (garlic + black pepper). That one was not my favorite.
Friendly staff. I bought a Too Good to Go app surprise bag. It is supposed to be a $18 value. I received a cold brew coffee ($5.50) and a vegetable broth ($7.85). Disappointed with the value, since that only adds up to $13.35. It probably should have included another item. I'm interested in trying a juice next time to see if full price is worth it.
I was a little surprised to read some of these reviews focusing on great customer service. I have came into their midtown location on a few different occasions and received the same level of service each time. They didn’t want me there. I don't know any other way to put it. I know customer service is a tough job don’t get me wrong but you’d expect a local business such as this to be welcoming at the very least, that just hasn’t been the case for me. Just feels odd spending $15+ on a açaí bowl (normally $13.50) all while feeling like they do not want you in the store. The açaí bowl on the other hand had great flavor and texture but very few topping options. This review isn’t so much about the food rather the customer experience. Being that I’ve had this same experience multiple times, I will most likely be going to a different local business in the future.
An absolute gem for anyone who appreciates fresh, organic, and thoughtfully crafted juices, smoothies and plant-based food.
Highly recommend their vegan chocolate espresso power bites and royal turmeric bomb!
I've been a huge fan of sun and soil for over a decade now. Great, wholesome juices that get me feeling better when i'm in a funk. However, the newer juice bottles are really difficult to open. At first, I thought it was just a fluke, but this has persisted over the last few months. I am fortunate that I do not have any joint disorders or injuries, but still I struggle opening the bottle and often have to use a scissors to break open the seal. Once the seal is off, the lid is also difficult to take off and cause some spillage. To make matters worse, the lid is able to be screwed back on, which begs the question of why have a lid in the first place.
Bit pricey on the drinks but they are very tasty so worth the splurge.
The best juice shop in Sacramento! From açaí bowls to protein bars to fresh pressed juices, they have exactly what is needed to fuel your day
I really wanted to like this place! I value & seek out holistic nutrition focused cafes, so I've been to a considerable amount of similar places & sadly, the vibes here all around were not great. Really unwelcoming, unfriendly, bordering on rude staff & an excessively rich $15 smoothie that tastes like a blended up cheesecake that I'm throwing most of away. Real bummer, the concept & branding is lovely, but the staff & recipes really didn't work for me. Granted, I only tried 2 smoothies, so maybe sticking with juice is the way to go here but I'm sure there are friendlier juice bars in Sac. At least it's organic.
The açaí was very disappointing. It was so watered down it was practically soup even though it had just been made.
Best Matcha, friendly chill vibe!
