Suki Yaki Inn

I am going to miss the Suki Yaki Inn. A place of great memories and excellent food.We tried to get in one last time but it was booked until you closed on the 16th. Best sushi in Spokane for 74 years. ☺️

I bet the food is good but unfortunately we never got to try it. I called to make reservations and was told to just come in. Well we came in and was greeted by a very unfriendly host telling us she couldn't help us and to leave she repeated herself several times while trying to show us pages of reservations we aren't stupid we understood the first time. Was just frustrated because we were celebrating a birthday and could have saved a drive.

Such a Japanese retro delish experience in downtown Spokane. Really enjoyed our times together at Suki Yaki eating their classic Japanese American dishes over the years.

The waitress was extremely rude. I was ignored for a minimum of ten minutes once I entered the restaurant. Staff clearly saw me but just walked by and made me wait. Finally one of the servers came over to tell me they were full for the night and could not get me in. She asked if I would like her to check to see if there were any cancelations, and I said yes. She seemed annoyed I said yes. She yelled at me from across the room that there were no cancelations. Probably a good thing they are closing considering the attitude of staff and dingyness of the place. I had second thoughts once I walked in anyway due to the location and "cleanliness" of the restaurant.

Great food, great sushi, nice plum wine.
