Subway

Popped into Martlesham Heath Subway for the second time today and was very disappointed!!! Gave it a second chance after a poor experience first time round, but never again! Walked in, the counter and chillers were filthy, ordered 2 Salads. Think the member of staff was having a bad day, 1 very small handful of lettuce in each, only 3 cucumbers in 1, and 3 tomatoes slices in the other. Sweetcorn was running out, but she didn't want to go and get more, when challenged and asked if she could put more on (hint hint, change the tub) she put her hand into the tub, scooped up a couple more bits out and proceeded to put more water than sweetcorn on the salad. When asked if there was more out back, she asked her colleague if there was more, colleague who was doing nothing, replied "you'll have to look", girl serving went and had a look, there wasn't any more. So I asked for some peppers, onions and gherkins on 1 salad, and got very small handfuls of each. Oh and grated cheese on top, a very small sprinkle that barely covered the tiny salad was applied. When I mentioned it was a very small salad to normal subways and asked if she could put more lettuce on she didn't say anything, she didn't care and seemed like she couldn't be bothered to be there. Normally when we get salads from Subway, the boxes are three quarters full to over flowing, this wasn't even half full and it's the second time from this establishment. NEVER AGAIN THOUGH!!! Filthy premises, rude staff and nothing for your money!!!

Lovely place great workers

Came in with my family after shopping to get some food around 3:55pm on 30/12/23. Appalling service. The man behind the counter was extremely rude and abrupt. Only my brother ordered before we decided to leave and go to Greggs because of the way he spoke to us.

I used to get subway a lot during uni in Leicester and I have not had one in years, so after this new branch opened, I though I’d get one to reminisce. I could not have been more disappointed. My go to was always steak and cheese on Italian herb and cheese bread. Can’t have that any more. They only do steak and cheese on white or brown now. After reluctantly choosing white because I wasn’t allowed to have my prefer choice of bread, the server then began to make the sandwich. Stuck it in the oven to heat up. Then wrapped it up and gave it to me. Never asked if I wanted any of the additional salad or bits and piece you can choose from. No sauce. Nothing. Why did I even bother? The whole point of subway is to have it how you want it. If you could give zero stars or even minus stars that would be more suitable than a 1 star, as a one star makes it look like they have managed to at least get something right.
