I didn't try the barbecue, but the beer selection was top shelf and the bartenders were uniformly excellent.
Great food great beer and bartenders were cool
Stopped in to this place at around 7 PM on Monday evening. Walked up to place our order and we were told they were out of ribs, that’s a first. Decided on the wings and coleslaw. I’ve had wings all over the US and have never tasted anything quite as odd as these wings. First off, they were extremely dry, and just had a very offputting taste. The coleslaw was tasteless. The people we were with ordered the beans and couldn’t even eat them. Pretty disappointing.
Alcohol selection was solid, lots of variety. Of course I didn’t try any because I’m underaged however, their lemonade is exquisite. When I saw the barbecue it tickled my fancy. I chose the brisket sandwich my mouth was watering with the taste of delicious savory brisket. However, when I took a bite of it my mouth stopped watering, so much In fact that it was even a little dry. For those reasons 3 out 5 stars. Also, please put more sawdust on the shuffleboard as well, cuz it was also dry.
Burnt ends is the best bit of BBQ in the Twin Cities. I've had it multiple times and it has delivered. Salty, sweet, smokey. So you know I'm not full of it. I used to work in the cattle industry. I've eaten and had every top BBQ place in the Twin Cities, Kansas City, and about a quarter of the Texas Monthly Top 50. Didn't love their beans but the rest of the BBQ was very good too. It's legit and better than anywhere else in a 400 mile radius.
I had bar b que ribs , potato salad and baked beans. I wanted a Colorado Bulldog but they couldn't make it
Ordered the brisket sandwich and pork plate with fries, beans and potato salad. The pork was good. Tender with decent smoke flavor. The potato salad and fries were good as well The brisket sandwich was half fat half meat. It tasted good but I would have preferred wayyy less fat on the pieces. The beans were flavorless. To be honest they're probably the worst beans I've ever had at a BBQ joint. Not even a trace of bbq meat in there. I can't speak to the beers and atmosphere. If I'd eat here again I would get the pork and avoid the brisket and beans. Kind of a shame really...
Excellent beer selection.
