Steak 'n Shake

I got a steak burger with everything on it and a side of fries. Let me tell you this food was BUSTING. This is the only place I order a burger at because I’m not a huge fan of them but they might solely make me like burgers, just from how delicious they make them. And I cannot forgot how BEAUTIFULLY the fries were seasoned and cooked. Every bite was a little sliver of heaven

15 min wait for a burger and onion rings in drive thru.....

The culinary experience was satisfactory, however, I found the process of inputting my order via the self-service kiosk to be somewhat inconvenient.

OMG what a joke. The staff was so rude. Ordering was really stupid as the pay with cash kiosk was out of order. Overall just a bad experience. I won't be back.

Slowest drive thru in the area. At least 15 mins

What happened to this place…. Just got to Freddys….. This used to be a great Steak and shake.. Clean, great food and service… now it’s filth…. Customer area floor was covered in a layer of grease, tables not cleaned up, trash stacked on trash cans and falling over, only kiosks to order on, staff doesn’t speak to customers, we ordered 5 meals, 4 shakes…. Only people in the building… took 30 minutes before we received our order… they forgot to make 2 out of 5 combos .. shakes were melted… the entire pop machine was out of order… only Iced tea and water available…. No sign on the kiosks letting customers know… took an additional 20 minutes to make the other 2 meals they forgot…. Go to Freddys custard… never had a bad experience at that place in Davenport or in Iowa city…. Freddys is better quality and what Steak and Shake used to be…

Food was cold, the tomato slice had the produce sticker on it, and the food took 30+ minutes to arrive. Only 2 other groups were there, leaving eight people in the restaurant. The floors were sticky and I'm sure that if other people went there, the tables would be dirty as well. Do not go here.

Not impressed by the customer service. I didn’t see another person in the restaurant until after I placed my order using the kiosk. The food was the highlight of the overall experience. Extravagant steak grilled burgers with perfectly seasoned fries.

Store was dirty. Only two other customers in store eating when we got there and no clean tables. Bathrooms gross, hardly any soap, sign on door said no shakes, but they served one to a Uber eats. Worst experience in a steak n shAke I've ever had.

Great place to eat

Wow I hadn't eaten inside for a very long time, years before covid. Steak and Shake has really fallen off. No servers anymore which may have been the case for a long time and I didn't know. Come in order at a kiosk and wait to be called. I think there are maybe 3 people working thier butts off in the kitchen. Food was so greasy I couldn't finish and veggies on burger where gross. The place is filthy and I will never come back let alone order drive thru. Music blaring on a blown out speaker system. So in my opinion this is a 1 out of 10. The owner of this Steak and shake needs to get this fixed or go out of biz, end of story.

Worst fast food in the area. They don’t value your time, they close far earlier than they are supposed to be open for, and the service is just unprofessional. I do not suggest going to this location if you’re wanting to buy a burger.

Slow and over priced

Floor was nasty looking like it was no cleaned in days, maybe a week. Who places smelled like syrup, just nasty and we use to eat here a lot, not it was 41$ for 3 people! Never again, stuff all over the blinds, stuff hanging from the return vent

Went to eat in and had to use kiosk to put order in which was fine. Then when we got out food did not get our shakes until almost 5 minutes later and that was after my child asked for them and was told that it would be a couple minutes because they are shorthanded can't you see. Employee was rude then when we got them we not right but was afraid to say anything. My was supposed to be a Reese Peanut Butter Shake and my child's was supposed to be Nutella and she said it tasted like a regular shake with a clump of Nutella every once in a while. Mine that was supposed to have chunks of resses peanut butter cups in it tasted like peanut butter not chocolate flavor and NO CHUNKS OF PB CUPS IN IT AT ALL. I have always been treated good here even when we went through the drive thru and you could hear 2 employees yelling and screaming at each other inside the building. But I will never go there again. If this is the way this Steak & Shake is being ran then this one needs to be SHUT DOWN !!!!
