Pleasant surroundings, usefully stop-off location for a break if travelling through Derbyshire along the A38. Pleasant surroundings.
Very clean, very pleasant polite staff and great coffee.
I really like this Starbucks and the staff are great, but the car park is a nightmare. I think one of the car businesses use it and take up loads of spaces. It gets very busy and then people block the car park so you can’t drive all the way around. I think businesses forget that people are ignorant and will block people in and access if it suits them. Maybe they need some signs and yellow hatching for those drivers with no manners and or common sense.
Arrived here to meet a friend to discover that parking is restricted to 1hour with a £100 fine after that. We left immediately and went to the garden centre (1 min away) where we had a nice leisurely afternoon and parked for free with no concerns.
Some recent issues- great coffee (medium Americano £3.85) as always staff are ok- Last 3 visits now- Never any WiFi !!!! and no phone signal either here so impossible to connect to internet (asked several times now and the staff say it’s working )- Background Music has gradually gotten louder and louder so last visit it was akin to being in a music venue- And to top it off now they have introduced 1hour limit to park before they issue a ticket- I mean come on!!! At least make it 90 minutes so you can have a chance to do a bit of work or is it that they don’t want anyone to stay!!!? This used to be my first stop every week- I use pride park now - same coffee but much better experience ! WiFi ☑️ No parking restrictions if you input your reg!☑️ Better toilets☑️ No loud music☑️
