Had a tea and piece of flapjack very nice. Excellent choice of food and lovely staff
£25 for a 30 min boat hire. Your the captain! Absolutely beautifull. The amount of wildlife around the little islands was incredible.
On our boys days out we used to stop here in the summer. Great little cafe and boat hire spot. Hoping to go this summer!
This is for the cafe, as never hired a boat here. Really nice cafe, friendly staff every time I've been in (no matter how busy). Nice to find somewhere you can park your paddleboard and have a bite to eat, and they bring the food out to you (going to Pooley Bridge, as they call it). Looking forward to another bacon barm from there this summer
Friendly staff and great value for the rowing boat. A really gorgeous spot.
Run by a lovely bloke, boats all in good order, we had a lovely 4hr trip around the lake as the weather stopped our planned hike.
I’m starting to think that people don’t bother these days as a new customer will be along shortly in somewhere so popular, but to not be bothered to turn the toaster on for a toasted tea cake at 3:45pm claiming the kitchen is closed, to then follow it up at 4pm by saying you can’t use the toilet because they’ve been cleaned and locked is pretty poor. Fortunately they let us buy a cup of tea and a kitkat.
If you want to chug up and down Ullswater in a motor boat, then this is the place to come. We all loved it, particularly the grandkids and possibly the dogs who were finding their 'sea legs' for the first time. Great value for money at £36 for an hour. Will definitely be visiting here again
Cafe is very nice in beautiful setting.
Nice little cafe upstairs, hire a boat and just enjoy.
