Very friendly service, good food! The peach cobbler was really delicious.
This spot could be chill but the bartender was a weirdo. Opened a tab and closed out only to stay longer and buy a few extra drinks for some friends. He kept complaining about "how much work" it was causing him because I charged my card multiple times. What bar has a problem with people ordering more drinks. Not impressed.
Good barbecue with lots of side options. My friend and I go here often. Vegetarian options: Nope. Don't go here if you want vegetarian. Parking: Very small parking lot. Kid-friendliness: Yes
I love love the live music, and the drinks are great!! great spot to chill, relax, have a drink, and hang out with friends
We've been here multiple times, but when we ordered the pulled chicken sandwich the second time, it came different; it was spicy and in chuncks, rather than like pulled pork and sweet. I liked it, but my partner doesn't care for spice and was disappointed. Still, the food is good and the atmosphere is cute!
Got a to-go order and got shorted some sides
Food was so disappointing... I was excited to try new bbq but the meat was SO DRY both ribs and brisket... the mac and cheese was also dry... and lacked flavor.. definitely NOT worth the price
Update as of 2/17/24: They changed the macaroni & cheese recipe. Much more bland. Before it was much more flavorful with gooey, cheesey goodness with a jalapeño punch. Now much more bland and macaroni is smaller. Original review: Best BBQ in the PS south end. Pulled pork sandwich is robust, tender and flavorful. I like adding the smokey chipotle sauce which is available as a condiment. Hands down beat jalapeño mac & cheese I've ever had. The meal is xpensive but worth it. Can be a bit smokey inside dining area so sit outside if weather is nice. If you're in the Oly area and in the mood for BBQ, definitely stop in.
I want to like this place more because the brisket has pretty great flavor. BUT I have never had meat this dry not sold as jerky. Again, tastes great, but crazy dry. Also, my previous 2 attempts at getting brisket from them were failures as they were out of brisket. They open at noon, out of brisket by 1. Wasted trips across town make for frowns. Call ahead. EDIT---So, I was a fool and went back. I was a block away for other reasons and could not deny my brisket cravings. My wife was with me and was not onboard with my decision to try again. I bought a pound of brisket and 2 sides, cobbler and something else. HORRIBLE brisket, leather tough and not at all tasty this time. I was and still am angry and so disappointed. I am not going to return food (especially not driving back and forth to do it) but this went into the trash, not a bite swallowed. I just gave away 45 bucks. I'm the idiot for going back, they totally suck for serving this. This area does not have an awesome bar b q spot just yet, but anywhere/everywhere is better than South Bay BBQ. Try Pecos Pit in Yelm or "the Van that knows da man", in Lacey's food truck court. Neither is a homerun, but a way better experience is store for you.
