Came here for a date night, looking for a new experience. Sat at the bar because we didn't make reservations (didn't bother my husband and I, but I recommend a reservation if it bothers you). The building is beautiful and the bartender was very attentive. All the employees we interacted with that night were delightful. We ended up trying the Chicken Piccata Meatballs as an appetizer (absolutely delicious - pictured is two, but they serve 5 as the app). For our main courses, Cavatelli with Monday Sauce and Lamb Osso Buco. Both were good, but the center of the lamb was as cold so we had to send it back... When we received it a second time, the owner brought it to make sure it was okay, which it was - Steaming from every area and tasting much better. The owner was so kind and told us about how the cheesecake recipe came about that they sell as a dessert - Which was easily the best part of the meal for me... So fluffy! We plan on coming back to try the pizza. Would recommend for anyone looking to try a new italian restaurant in the area!
Very cute restaurant with great drinks, incredible food. Good location with ample street parking, too. We had a group of 6 and the service was fast, food came out hot & altogether and the pasta was to die for. I personally had the veal agnolotti pasta special - and if you’re there while they have this… you HAVE to get it. This is one of the BEST pastas I have EVER had in my life. Veal Agnolotti - 5⭐️ (x2 lol) Cavatelli - 4⭐️ Gnocchi - 3⭐️ - personally was not a fan of the texture of this gnocchi but the flavor was great with the short rib. Swordfish - 3.5⭐️ Margarita Pizza - 4⭐️ - crust was incredible! Octopus special - 5⭐️ - the flavor layers on this was incredible, balanced well with the bed of chickpeas and sauce, too.
Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Had the swordfish livornese, gnocchi genovese, wood roasted beets and canoli. Drinks were on point. I would just come back for the cocktails alone.
I loved it. It's just great.
Me and some coworkers went as a group of eight to Sorella for a holiday dinner, and we were all impressed by our food and the great atmosphere. Food was reasonably priced, especially for the premium quality, and our service was good. It's in a very cool area of Bay View, and the eight of us all said we'd go back again.
Went here with a group of friends to celebrate the holidays. Our waiter was a young man with dark hair and mustache, he damped our whole experience. He seemed extremely rushed as if he was trying to hurry us out from the start of our meal to the end. He didn’t ask if we wanted appetizers or salads, he just asked if we were ready to order with no introduction. He came back maybe once for drink orders, but neglected certain areas of the table. We had the vodka sauce pasta which was very good, but not enough to justify the price. It would’ve been acceptable for an under $20 plate. The funghi pizza was surprisingly flavorless, despite all of the toppings. After our meal our waiter came to the table abruptly and said “So what are we doing?”. He then asked if we wanted to dessert without offering any menu options whatsoever and then said “I guess that’s a no” and walked off without allowing us any time to decide. The next thing we knew the check was brought to us without even asking if we were done. He could have made so much money for the restaurant and himself if he had just practiced restaurant server etiquette 101. It seemed as if he did not want to be there at all.
