Best breakfast and brunch spot in Cincinnati, hands down!
I ended up ordering to go because the wait was so long. I asked how long it would take and was told 15-20 minutes. After 25 minutes I inquired and was told my order was up next. I watched the kitchen line and saw a box be brought and stay on the pickup line for about 5 minutes. They bagged it and brought it out to me. I took it to the hotel 400ft away and the food was COLD not like warm - straight up cold. The flavor of the sweet potatoes was wonderful. My eggs- well over medium eggs with zero seasoning cold - were underwhelming. I think this place probably is fantastic as a sit down. It was pretty poor for a to go order. And yes, I’ve ordered eggs over medium before from other places and walked 400 ft without issue. I love the premise of this place and I will probably venture there again if I’m ever in downtown Cincinnati again.
Best avocado toast I've ever had.
You could say I’m their number one fan. sleepy bee just has the best breakfast and lunch in the city. There I said it!
Food was good, but nothing stood out to me. - Chorizo scrambled eggs lacked in flavor. - Redskin potatoes tasted a bit bland. Again, nothing special. - Nutty pancakes were pretty good, but we’ve had better. Overall it wasn’t bad, just sort of average! Ordered the following: - Chorizo scrambled eggs - Greek bee scrambled eggs - Redskin potatoes - Nutty pancakes (peanut butter banana)
This was our first time here and was very happy we made the walk downtown to try the sleepy Bee. Between the omelet and the pancakes I would recommend coming here for brunch every day if you can. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
Their breakfast sandwiches with sweet potatoes are AMAZING! They also have pretty good teas. Staff seems always happy to help at any time.
