I would have loved to give a 5 star to this business. They make a great Greek salad! However, there is a young man in a leadership position here who seems to be struggling with how to provide good customer service. And it really impacted the entire experience. My salad was missing tomatoes. When I brought it to his attention he shrugged and said, “yeah they usually come on it.” And walked away. Not even an apology…Let alone correcting the situation. It was also very problematic to have him spraying cleaner right next to us as we ate. It’s not bad when a table is just wiped down with a diluted bleach solution, but he was spraying some kind of very offensive cleaner onto the table behind us. My coat was on the back of my chair. After hurrying out to get away from the strong smell I could still smell it once in my car. I then realized it had sprayed onto my coat too :( These are, to me, basic things in the service industry that should never happen (particularly with a manager of sorts, which he seemed to present himself as). These were the really troubling things. But it was also not great to not be allowed to substitute extra veggies on my salad when I was omitting half of the others due to digestive needs. Instead you are still charged. I’m really not sure if ownership is aware that this is the level of customer service being experienced here, so I wanted to be sure to leave a review so that they know and can implement improvements if they choose to. The food is good and it’s really unfortunate that we aren’t sure we will go back after this visit now :/ feeling unappreciated and overlooked as a customer is just not what anyone enjoys. Dietary restrictions: They will not substitute extra of one item on a salad when you cannot have an item. Example: I cannot eat cucumbers, Pepperochini, or onions. I cannot substitute extra beets, olives, feta. They are each changed extra for.
Um their falafel is world class. They make everything fresh every single day. So while your eating they're prepping!!! Best Mediterranean place in Michigan:) Update... 3 years later.... I'm sorry but unfortunately the last few times I have been here the food has risen in price, quality has gone down, there is no more flavor, no more kindness and appreciation in the kitchen, and overall I will probably never be coming back. Everything lacked, from the soup, to the faffel, the chicken was horrible dry and had next to no middle eastern spices, falafel tasted more like chikpeas than anything, where as in the past it was a beautiful blend and balance... I'm leaving this not to hurt the future customers... but for the purpose of I have no way to speak to the owner. This was a 5 star review 3 years ago, and I will have to reduce to a 1 star. this can change but perhaps another year. And their once freshly-made grape leaves now seem microwaved or way overcooked.
The person behind the counter took my order for 4 people. I ordered my first entree with its two sides, then he added the second ENTREE as a SIDE of the first order - a small insignificant tiny side. Wth?? He gave me THREE sides for an entree - which doesnt even exist as an option. I already had told him which two sides i wanted for the first entree. Im surprised i didnt get 1 entree and everything else as sides. I CLEARLY STATED what i wanted as my order and even told him i was ordering for a group!! Came home and disappointed everyone thanks to Simply Wrong.
Super dirty and the food is not fresh
Tasty food, easy to get to, and healthy. Thumbs up for me
