Simply Banh Mi

The reviews are pretty much spot on. This nifty little hole in the wall certainly does not disappoint in flavor and quality. The vegan pho was healing and super delicious. The pork belly banh mi was super delectable. The owner is down to earth and funny. A great experience overall. Definitely recommend this place. Ya won’t be disappointed unless you’re a Karen :)

My partner and I have been here half a dozen times and it’s always delicious. We both get bahn mi (tofu and pork usually) and must add the crispy eggplant! I like to add mango habanero sauce too. The iced coffee is excellent as well, the perfect addition. On top of that it’s pretty inexpensive and the owner is so sweet! He’ll give a call with any discrepancies or to let you know the order is ready for pickup. All around a great spot! It’s take out only so we bring our sandwiches down the block to Book Hill Park. Definitely recommend.

Super cheap Bahn Mi

Funny enough, this place was mentioned in a Reddit thread for hidden gems in DC. The food was highly praised, and the original poster gave a special shout out to the website (I highly recommend checking it out; it’s seriously a delight). This was enough for me to check it out for myself, and it was absolutely fantastic. Super reasonable prices, the girl who made my food was so sweet, and everything I had was delicious. I got a pork belly bahn mi and chicken spring rolls with peanut sauce. Solid food, solid experience

Cannot recommend this place enough. Great food, easy pickup, and amazing service. Owner goes above and beyond to ensure every meal is a hit. Best banh mi and pho in DC!

Got the tofu banh mi. I picked up my sandwich on time. The service estimated 1 hr for the order to be ready. The sandwich ended up being cold. In addition the sandwich itself was mid, you can definitely get a better banh mi almost anywhere else. Also the establishment looks very rundown. It's pick up only and the door is locked. Not sure why this place is so locked down. At the very least let people come inside and order or stand and wait for their order. Food was subpar and definitely not worth the hassle.
