A foot long sub, 99 cent drink and a cookie was $25. That is all that needs to be said here. The sandwich was good, but no prices anywhere and it’s an upcharge of almost $3 for Cheese. There are plenty of other better and more cost friendly options in Ithaca. I probably will only be back for the cookie if it is good.
sooooo yummyyyyyyyy, their meats are so yummy, its not regular packaged lunch meat which is hard to find these days. My girlfriend and I got two different sandwiches and the ciabatta bread and the french bread were so soft and perfect texture for a sandwich.
The best sub in Ithaca, the size are great they make the bread on site, and they prepare the sub fresh
Service really won us over! Food was good..they were out of mushrooms when we stopped in which I'm sure would've taken my steak sandwich over the top. As for atmosphere, it was eclectic and I enjoyed reading all the articles and stories. Probably could have used some stools maybe so I or maybe mobility challenged folks didn't have to stand. But the service was amazing! Everyone was super friendly, they were training a new person and he had a little mishap....we got the wrong sandwich at first. The owner helped us with filling out the order slips (was our first time) with a smile on his face....he came by while we were eating to make sure everything was good and to apologize for the earlier mix-up with the sandwiches. Gave us each a homemade cookie. Like I said, great customer service, oh and super cheap add on fountain drinks! Awesome experience, great quick bite before a State show and we'll be back!
I don't eat often here but when I do buy a sub, it's so fresh and delicious, I can't stop eating. The bread is freshly baked and very delicious by itself.
Delicious food, super friendly folks, great times! So glad they survived the pandemic! Looking forward to many more trips here! Well worth it!
The Shortstop is a staple of the area - In my opinion, there is nothing particularly outstanding about the deli. The sandwiches are good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is kinda like a gas station. The food is a bit OP Parking: Parking out front off street Wheelchair accessibility: Single floor no stairs to access the deli
These are some serious sandwiches! We tried hot, cold, and the pizza subs. The photos really don't do justice. Excellent quality! The cheese bread sticks were average, but the marinara was very intense and makes me wish for the recipe. Skip the potato tots. Average quality and, frankly, the sandwiches are more than enough even for a big appetite. Speaking of... these are HUGE. I got the largest size the first time and my husband barely finished his. Asked for the one that was half that size when I went back. So many delicious combinations possible! Worth visiting multiple times.
No frills northeast American Deli/sandwich shop. Sandwiches are great and the service is always quick and polite
