The lamb was more like a sheep taste. With the money we were paying, the meat should be lot fresher.

Had a wonderful evening! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is the best I've had in Lynchburg, from the appetizers, main course, and dessert. The catch of the day was blue tuna which was cooked perfectly. They have a great wine selection. I'll definitely be going back.

Nothing but wonderful things to describe our experience at Shoemakers. From beginning to end, the service was wonderful and intentional. The food was exceptional. Chef Edwin Scholly was so kind and personable. Our appetizer, entrees, and desserts were all delightful. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed.

The food alone here blows anything else out of the water in Lynchburg I’ve tried. Really unique and elevated flavors.

My experience at Shoemakers was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I knew that I was in for a treat. From the charming ambiance to the attentive service to the most amazing culinary experience. The duck confit was delicious! Every bite was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It was the best that I've ever had, And the Belgium chocolate mousse was incredible, rich and creamy, yet light and delicious. Shoemakers exceeded all my expectations, it's not often that you find a place where every element comes together so perfectly. I'll be recommending it to all my friends and family.

I expected to receive amazing food, service, and atmosphere. I had gotten everything I expected it would be, and I thank chef Ed for the amazing food with amazing service from Pam and Auna! You all were wonderful and can’t wait to come back! I encourage everyone to check this place out, you don’t want to miss out!

Oh my goodness! The food was fantastic, service exceptional and the atmosphere, fabulous. We started with drinks, which were perfectly refreshing and tasty. Next came the crispy Brussels, which were so perfectly prepared and delicious. The watermelon salad was a nice combination of salty feta, cool watermelon and just the perfect drizzle of balsamic. My husband the ribeye which was melt in your mouth perfection and I had the chicken roulade which had wonderful complex flavor. Overall, we both said it’s the best restaurant meal we’ve had in months, if not years. In a time when most restaurants serve just mediocre meals, Shoemakers is hitting it out of the park on service, atmosphere and most importantly, the food. Wish we lived closer so we could enjoy this gem more often. Our compliments to the chef and the whole team! Thank you
