I love the ambiance and the area. It's a small spot and although I don't have a ton of experience with sushi shops it's nice. The service was nice and the employees were very courteous. Admittedly I'm not well-versed in the world of sushi so I'm not very fond of sushi in many of its actual forms. I tend to like mainstream Kroger brands or Publix brand sushis or on-the-go sushi. So I wasn't impressed with it although the California rolls were very good. I am a fan of ramen and that's where they lost me. They didn't have miso so I ended up getting another type suggested by our server....I was not pleased. It was quite bland and I didn't enjoy it much. But that was the only thing. The pricing is very affordable but it's extremely easy to run up a tab... very easy. I think I spent about $150 for me and my wife. Although I'm not a super fan of the food... strangely I would go back. My wife likes it. I like the area and the feel of the restaurant so overall I like it.
I always love coming here! The sushi is always good. I typically get the Gluten Free Trust Me roll. (Sometimes it's worth the cost, sometimes they could do a little better on it, but it's always good.) A few times back, I got a splinter in my lip from the chopsticks. I did not enjoy that, but it's the price you pay for wooden chopsticks. (Perhaps they could get the kind that don't break apart?) If this ever happens, tape works really well to get it out! My kids LOVE the edamame and vegetable roll. We also love the drinks here. The bartender is really good and if you're not sure what you want, let them know what you're in the mood for and they can make it! (I always give them a price point for my drink though.) Vegetarian options: Just them know and they can give suggestions. Dietary restrictions: They have Gluten Free options. Parking: Trilith has a parking lot but there's also side street parking on a first come first serve basis. Kid-friendliness: They are always kind to the kids.
Small, crowded and noisy. Terrible acoustics. ‘Entertainment Tax’ ?! Taking advantage of the studio workers and what it brings to the area. If anything, they should give a discount to Trilith employees. Chef Alvin is no longer here, so it’s no longer the best sushi in town. Go to Momonoki instead.
My wife and I are avid sushi connoisseurs. We have travel from all over Japan to southern Mexico to try all the best sushi restaurants. I’m a captain out of Destin Florida. When I say this is the worst sushi I’ve had I mean it. You could tell the crab and tuna are off a Sysco truck. Service was very very slow outside. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Great sushi on the south side. Go see Chef Shane! You won't be disappointed.
SENSU is our go to date place restaurant. The food is always fantastic and the presentation is beautiful no matter what we order. Shout out to Tereasa our favorite bartender.
Place is a great atmosphere to eat and hang out.
Not a fan of limited parking and the price for what Is given now. It simply isn’t worth it. Thankful there are other options closer in PTC
I like raw sushi. What I can't stomach is raw chicken. I understand it was Valentine's Day, but under no circumstances should poultry ever be raw. The drink's we're below par. They also took about 20 mins to even get or longer. Service was hardly fantastic. I know you can't control who cooks what or the bar making drinks. But calling over a manager would have been a good idea after serving raw meat...just a thought I wouldn't recommend. Also, never received sushi with bones before. Maybe a small kids menu would be a good idea as well.
