Sencha Tea Bar

This is a nice place. I like how they are open a little later than other places (10pm) so it is a good place to study. They have a wide selection of teas but I'm a simple guy. I just need something simple to drink while I read and study. One thing, they are not at fault for- when it is cold outside, it can get a little warm inside, because they don't control the heating. It is controlled on a single system by the building which has units above. The vibe is great. Compared to other places, coffeeshops, which I like and view favorably, this vibe I would characterize as just plain friendly. Friendly and warm and happy which for me was unexpected given the general area.

The new barista makes awful drinks. Few things are more disappointing than poorly made bubble tea. The last two times that I've come here she has made poorly the drinks that I usually order. They were borderline undrinkable (one tasted like creamer). And I usually come here when I feel down. The terrible quality bubble tea always ends up making me feel worse. I will not be returning to this Sencha when this barista is working. Waste of money and deeply unsatisfying. I've been visiting Senchas all around the country for a while now and this is the first time I'm having such a repeatedly disappointing experience. I used to camp out at my local Sencha when I was in college and have a lot of positive feelings associated with Sencha. This one was deeply disappointing.

Really enjoy this place and when they're not having an event it's a pretty good place to just sit down and think or do some work but I've noticed this locations tea quality has drastically dipped. Like I'm not sure what's going on but they taste a lot worse than the other Senchas

Understaffed for a Saturday. We needed to wait extra as someone else who just walked in took our drinks. Wish there was a better way to know whose drink is whose

Happened upon this delightful tea bar by accident when showing an out of town guest the Prince mural. We’re both huge tea lovers so immediately had to try it out. They had a wide variety of teas and options available. We each got the Lavender London Fog. If a shop can truly impress me with their London Fog, (I’m very picky about them) then I’m sold. I also tried their lemon berry bar and found it to be delicious and a great pairing with my tea. They also have lots of cute items for sale. I ended up leaving with 2 rings, a pin, and 2 plushies and zero regrets. I’ll definitely be back with my husband and raved to his coworkers as well. I only wish it was closer to home. If Sencha ever wants to open a location near Maple Grove/Champlin/Osseo I’d be a happy and frequent customer!

Love this place! I got an iced London fog with lavender whip and pearls. It was perfection!

Arrived at 12:30pm on Sunday and it was locked. Someone was inside, but there was no signage saying it was closed and all posted times and days stated it should be open until 10pm. Two other parties show up and tried to get in as well with no acknowledgement from the person inside. We also tried calling to see if it was going to open and no one answered the phone. Sadly, this would have been our first visit, but we will not be back. Updated - thank you Senca for the response! I'm sorry to hear there was an emergency of some kind and hope all is okay. We're grateful for the reply and would be happy to give it another shot. Especially because you have such wonderful reviews on IG and here on Google. Changing to 3 stars until we get the chance to enjoy it for ourselves. No need for the complementary drink, although the offer is very appreciated!!!

I absolutely love this place. One of the best places in the whole twin cities, although I'm definitely sad they started closing earlier though for those of us pulling late night study seshes.

Sencha is watered down and their tapioca boba is so hard. Last time I was trying to do a pick up and look for my order among the pickup and got yelled at by a worker. Will never come back.
