This place usually has a line down the street, but we lucked out and got a table. They have sandwiches named after Presidents and historic figures. They serve them with house-made chips and offer fries for an upcharge. The parmesan truffle fries were good, but the regular fries tasted better. I had the Eisenhower, which is an Italian style with ham and garlic mayo and cherry peppers. It was delicious!! They are served on chewy baguette bread. My husband had a Roosevelt, which is roast beef with a horseradish mayo. They make their own pickles, which are a really great mix of sour and a little sweet. They also have a day each month that a percentage of sales goes to a charity. There is a full bar and specialty crafted cocktails. 1$ from each kickback mule goes to charity every day. They also have multiple house-made sauces and dressings to dip your chips or fries into. It's definitely worth the over 90-minute drive for us.
Glad they're back in business after the fire. The food is great. If you're in the area and hungry it's worth the stopping.
Restaurant looks incredible since the rebuild. Very nice place, friendly staff, and good food. Highly recommend the pimento fries and the chips & dip. Vegetarian options: They had lots of vegetarian friendly dishes, clearly marked on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Lots of food options, but I know a lot of picky children who would have a hard time with this menu. Great for adults.
Friendly and helpful staff, and the food, atmosphere, and customer service was absolutely AMAZING! Thank you from EXPENDABLES!
