Seabra's Marisqueira

We had a reservation for 2pm. As there was an accident en route, we called at 145 saying we were on our way but would be 10 minutes late. When we arrived a little before 210, there was no table. Someone had written over our reservation 230pm and when we told them that we said we would only be 10 minutes late, we were rudely told that this is what the bartender told them, as if an incompetent bartender was our problem. No apology; no let me seat you promptly At 240, when we were still not seated, we left and enjoyed a great meal with proper polite service at Fornos, just down the street We used to enjoy Seabras, but their service has become more and more brusque and ornery ... a bit of a sense of they don't give a S*** anymore about the customer. we will not be back and will not recommend to friends and our frequent out of town visitors

Ordered a seafood plate for 2 and was served with a few claims, just very few shrimp and one lobster (very small ) to be shared. In the bottom of the plate, there was plenty of rice along with a tilapia filet, which is a no-no in a seafood plater. To add insult to injury, a 20% service charge was applied to the total bill without any other choices or prior advice. Also, a credit card fee of 3% was charged. I will not be looking forward to going back.

Rude. The place used to be our go to for Portuguese food in Newark and we made a reservation to for my Mom's 86th birthday lunch, only to find that the staff move our reservation back 30 minutes. Staff was unapologetic and basically just kept telling us to get out of the way. Luckily Fornos had a table so when our table wasn't ready 30 minutes later, we could salvage lunch there

The food was better 10 years ago, unfortunately I AGREE WITH THE OTHER "RECENT REVIEWS" WAITERS NEED TO ALL BE FIRED! THEY HAVE BEEN THERE TOO LONG AND THE MILK HAS SOURED! COOKS/WAITERS TALK IN PORTUGUESE BEHIND MY BACK THINKING I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THEM WHICH IS LAUGHABLE! RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE! Save your unprofessionalism and bad attitude for your home NOT YOUR JOB! - Never coming back!

We had the best time here last Saturday night. The food is so fresh and delicious. The service was the best, Jerry was our delightful waiter and Sousa the owner is so welcoming. You must stop by - you wont be disappointed.

Don't order the cream of carrot soup. No taste. The calamari was hard and the Paella Valencia was to wet. Wish I had asked the waiter what is your most popular Portugese food to order. Parking: Free parking lot just give a tip.
