This restaurant has an amazing view and wonderful renovations. 5 Stars for Location! We've eaten here many times over the last 20 years. 5 Stars for bar staff! The bar staff is amazing, very welcoming, professional and well trained mixologists! No complaints. The Hostess (5 Stars) was wonderful and she gave us a great seat for our celebratory meal. The waiter initially was good, friendly and the crab cake appetizer was delicious! Then the downward spiral began. No second drink order. No entree order for 30+ minutes - we finally asked a busboy. Then another 45-60 minutes for the entrees to come out and when they did, COLD! This was an over $200.00 meal and we got late, cold entrees. We said nothing because we were starving at this point and didn't want to risk another almost hour wait. Worse: the waiter never acknowledged that he's ignored us, was late or asked how our meals were. So we asked for the check and left and ended up ordering desert from room service just to get out of there. We were their to celebrate our anniversary with no mention of it and felt very, very neglected service from appetizers on. We're happy people so we didn't let it ruin our evening but Sea & Air broke our trust for ever celebrating anything there again and we'll definitely caution our friends & clients - as we are locals. I'd go back to the bar only, too expensive to have another bad dining experience in the restaurant.

Great food. Great flavors. The dungeness crab cake is a favorite and is bigger than your typical crab cake. Yellowtail crudo had a fine sweet, tart, and spicy element, but the fish was still very present. The fried squash that came with the salmon had a great seafood element inside. We ordered both the chocolate mousse and the strawberry floating island with every intention to have a chocolate-strawberry bite. Drinks compliment the dishes well, staff is attentive and positive. A little on the pricey side, but it's in a hotel and has the La Jolla tax. Can't wait to try more dishes here.

Stay away from this place. It was remodel, but the staff don’t know what’s in menu, every item that came out had something missing or over cooked or just wrong.

Food was totally screwed up not once but twice. No bartender. Manager did nothing to compensate us for the horrible food and miserable service.

Train wreck unraveling before our eyes.. we ordered three burgers 🍔 unfortunately after we received our food we found out that our temperatures were not an option. Manager couldn’t help us or apologize?? Our server didn’t split the check between two parties correctly. We were one of three tables present at 2pm. Hilton DO BETTER.

Great food and a good view

What a great addition to the culinary scene of La Jolla! We heard about the opening of the newly renovated Sea & Sky restaurant, so we had to try it. We ordered the crab cake appetizer (lots of crab and great flavor), and for the main dishes the scallops, and what had turned out to be the best snapper I’ve ever had! The whole experience was exceptional. Definitely coming back, worth visiting.

Delicacy, color of the seasons, delicious and great view of La Jolla cove and clouds. Enjoyable foodie experience for any occasions. Sophisticated wine listing but simplified cocktail choices signifying the individuality of S&S. Will want to come back again. A family of whales out in the cove added “spice” to the conversation. Off street parking available.

I recently visited Sea and Sky in La Jolla at its opening weekend on May 17 and was thoroughly impressed with the multimillion dollar penthouse restaurant renovation. The ambiance is a perfect blend of elegance and comfort, with stunning views that elevate the dining experience. The seafood is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, particularly the sea bass. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our meal. Whether for a special occasion or a casual dinner, Sea and Sky is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!
