Sasabune Glendale

Went to Sasabune with friends. The kitchen was perfect, with good portions, tasty. The atmosphere was nice too. The stuff was good, did their job with pleasure. Definitely recommend to visit

The food is great. You can tell all their fish/ingredients are fresh. However, we felt rushed by our server during our dining process. The price is definitely on the expensive side. They also charged for hot tea. We didn’t think we’ve been notified with that before we “asked for” the hot tea. Also, the serve ware they used don’t seem to match their price point. They look like some cheap plates.

It was a very nice experience. Traditional Japanese sushi restaurant. Service excellent. We ordered Omakase Japanese style. Every bite was delicious. Very good pace, and very attentive servers. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it.

Sasabune is a delightful sushi spot, and my top picks were definitely the tuna and salmon selections. The omakase experience was mostly outstanding, but I must admit that the mango dressing on one of the sushi pieces didn't quite hit the mark for me. However, it's important to note that I'm personally not a fan of mango dressing on sashimi in general. Despite that small hiccup, I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience, and I would absolutely consider coming back for more. It's worth mentioning that dining at Sasabune might require a bit of a splurge, as I remember the cost being on the higher side, around $100 or more. If you're a sushi lover and willing to indulge in a top-notch dining experience, Sasabune is definitely a place to check out. Just be prepared for a fantastic meal and consider skipping the mango dressing if it's not your cup of tea!
