Sandano's Italian Sub Shop

Food was okay. Service was okay. Atmosphere was nice - I like the checker boards and chess boards. My issue lies with the inaccurate menu pricing. Prices on the menu seems to be lower than what they ask for at the register. Including taxes which I'm confident about since I looked them up. The receipt also didn't show the price breakdown unless I am misreading. Again, the food and service was fine. My only issue that would keep me from coming back is the inaccurate pricing on the menu board on the wall. If you're visiting I would ask the employees to tell you the actual price of whatever you're buying just in case.

Seemed like a small unassuming shop from the outside, but I was curious so I finally went in. Loved seeing the photos on the walls and the sheer amount of menu options, but I eventually decided on the Sandano Italian, and received the best, most loaded Italian sub I have ever had. Everything down to the roll it was served on was flavorful. An outstanding sandwich at a great price!

Delicious Italian sandwich!

Good food, terrible service. Placed an order for 8 sandwiches to go and the attending cook/cashier swore at us for placing such a large order. Noon on May 15th. Hire better.

One of the best places to eat in the West End of town!! Unbelievable sandwiches, fun specials during the week, great for lunch if you work in Innsbrook!!

Here’s the deal. ORDER ONLINE. This man has been basically running a one man op for a few years and at times handles massive volumes of orders. Ignore the other reviews that say he’s cranky at times, he has a sign on the front door that asks people to order ahead online. Cut him some slack as he’s genuinely got some of the best prices (for what you get) and best subs in the entirety of Richmond and it’s suburbs. You’re not getting a better sandwich in this city and that’s a fact.
