Been to a Sam’s often good food great staff

Overall the food was very well cooked and seasoned well. The service was good overall, friendly, courteous, and welcoming. The online menu needs updating. We went there thinking we were going to get lunch special options on a Sunday after reviewing the online menu only to find out that lunch prices and specials are only applicable Mon - Fri. Wasn’t expecting to spend $$75 on two plates of 1 filet of fried catfish and 6 fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. We switched out the fries for onion rings at an upcharge and ended up buying a side of hush puppies a la cart. This was one of the first places ai’ve ever been too that doesn’t have hush puppies as included on a fried seafood plate? But I’m from Louisiana and that’s just the way they do it there. Even though it was more than I wanted to spend on lunch the food was really good and we will definitely go back. The place filled up fast too and there were only three servers so at times it felt like our servers were too busy to get to our table. They were working as hard as they could just got slammed by the after church rush and a lot of big groups came in all around the same time. Again they were working fast, it was just a lot for 3 people. When we were cashed out I did see someone come from the back and start sitting people and taking drink orders, So they recognized that they needed more help and got it. Parking: Not many spots available near the restaurant. It’s located in a strip mall like complex

My catfish and seafood gumbo was great. The fried calamari was excellent. My wife's chicken fried chicken lacked flavor. Her French fries were good, but the gravy was a bit bland. If they would season their dredge, it would be exceptional!. Service from Blaze was great.

We were looking for a quiet place to eat after a noisy swim meet. Google maps took us to the perfect place.

Food is always excellent. Good menu to choose from. Staff is good.

I am thrilled to be able to give our friends at Sam's Seafood and Steak a 5 out of 5 star review. The waitstaff was on time, respectable and punctual. We had a Church Valentine's Gala here on February 10th 2024 and we all enjoyed ourselves. The prices were great, the food delicious and lets say it was a very nice atmosphere to be in. Our Church at True Grace Bible Church want to say thank you to all the staff at Sam's for making us Church folk feel welcome and satisfied with all the home town hospitality. May this review help many join us in our experience and enjoyment at this great restaurant for many more years to come. Thank you all again...

Their po-boys are hands down some of the best in this area. My father loved this place. It was one of the last great memories with him before he passed. I am so glad to see they survived the pandemic and still offer great eats.
