Sam's Hot Dog Stand, Downtown Lexington

Ever since visiting home, I come to this place 2x a week…I love the Veggie Dogs with Everything. I get the #3 so I make it a Combo, grab an Ale8 (seasonal peach) and the BBQ Famous Grippos! Best Lunch you will have in Hot Dog form!

Simple! Great Hotdog and service! Not too much and not too little. Walking distance from my hotel! Definitely will return on my next visit and will probably go back before departing!

So confused as to when this place is open. I've tried to go close to 6 or 7 different times since I got here last fall but they're closed everytime. Yes i check the times in Google. Such a prime location for never being open. :[

It's a hotdog place so I didn't expect the pulled pork to be anything to write home about. It was good but if it was a little less messy, like less sauce if possible or they toasted the buns it would have been much much better.

The guy taking the order really nice but when I looked at my order it was not correct. I had a really simple order of 2 hot dogs but was missing the topping other than the spicy chili. The chili seems to not have a lot of flavor. Was really disappointed and they even charge extra for cheese and chili (not that is a deal breaker.) Parking: Sometimes it is difficult to find.
