The worst place and worst experience in my life! I went inside this Safeway, brought food from the Kitchen, went to counter paid. Started eating my breakfast inside the refreshment area. In the middle of the breakfast, a turban wearing Sikh ‘security’ in uniform rush to my table, surround me as if to handcuff. Questioning me of my payment! Remember he is not a store manager only a security. He started behaving rude and violent as if I did not pay. I shown him the receipt of my payment. Does the AGLC security license has authority to check my receipt, surround and block me in the middle of my breakfast? Safeway management have to check this violations. The manager is Ms. Laura , she presents to be ignorant and acting like dump! If people like Laura become insane, how customers are protected inside Safeway?How can I enjoy my breakfast in the middle of this humiliation? I was terrified and shocked as if I am going to be handcuffed and manhandled by the security. This is the experience of a genuine customer inside Safeway at 104avenue in Edmonton. Please remember your are entering a jail, paying from your pocket to get terrified and assaulted! The private company security has no right to touch my body, no right to block me or even check my payment receipt. He is licensed not as a cashier, or a billing agent. The turban wearing Sikh security is totally unaware about the rules and laws of this nation! He was racially profiling me. “This man looks like First Nation and homeless, so I was trying to prevent him from eating with out payment”. Safeway have to train their staff on laws rules and ethics, right duties and responsibilities of the customers. I will never forget the trauma from this in my life. It is much above than an insult !
