Safeway in a nice secluded plaza, never too busy pretty clean. Its your standard grocery store to get anything you would reasonably need. We also refill our 5-gallon water jugs here and the water tastes pretty good. However, every time I have gone there is only 1 checkout line open (they will sometimes open a second one if there is a ridiculous line) which does make checking out slightly slower.
Also, there is a new water bottle recycling machine outside and its extremely convenient once you get the setup right and pretty fun to use :)
I went to recycle empty bottles, but a woman named Carol treated me like a beggar. She asked how many bottles I had, so I told her the number. She looked at me as if she didn’t believe me, then counted the bottles herself. The number I gave was correct. At that moment, she didn’t apologize at all. Since I’m not good at English, I couldn’t say anything. She was very rude. I think it would be better if someone like her didn’t work for Safeway.
Great, store mostly awesome employees great customer service there are a few negatives, though the bathrooms are disgusting for some reason they’re asking for ID for any over-the-counter medication, not just medications containing pseudoephedrine but stuff like ibuprofen and MiraLAX
Many items not on shelves. Produce, eggs, and half/half are a few examples. Jan 3 2023. Shelves are now fully stocked, 9/5/2023. No changes since 9/5/2023.
Normally really like Safeway this experience not so great. Waited over 30 minutes for someone to get me batteries out of the lock cased finally gave up and just left.
I would not recommend going to this Safeway location. Two weeks ago, they sold me spoiled String cheese, then a few days later spoiled lunch meat (date on plastic film inside container). So naturally I started looking at the dates on absolutely EVERYTHING. Yesterday I bought some chicken thighs (July 13) but today I opened them and not only did they smell rotten, they were yellowing on the underside (as if repackaged). In addition, the underside of the chicken has black spots, small black debris, and even green areas. It’s clear this location does not care about food safety, multiple sold spoiled goods-and even meat repackaging. I’ll be filing a complaint with the USDA, Consumer Protection, and with the store manager. But I also wanted to say that this location should be avoided at all costs!
The women who checked me out in the self checkout line was very polite though it did take about 4 minutes to get my 1 %50 off sticker scanned. It was certainly better than checking out immediately and paying full price though. So good trip all in all.
Yay they have dry ice but it’s expensive . They also have this recycle machine which is really cool.
I went to Safeway this morning to buy two food items. I’ve put them in my shopping cart and went to the self check out. I paid for my items.
While I was at the self checkout, there were three female employees standing by the checkout, doing nothing and making small talk, as people will do.
Because there were only two things I bought, I was able to just carry the bag out with me and no longer needed the cart.
I did not realize that I had some sort of responsibility to take the cart and return it to where the carts are. But on my way out, two of the employees who had been making small talk hassled me about not putting the cart away.
I have never been hassled by a store employee anywhere I’ve gone in the past about not returning the cart to where it belongs.
An interesting use of time. Standing around, making small talk with fellow employees until the customer walks out, and then take a break from small talk to hassle the customer over nothing at all.
You might want to take a moment and think about customer experience. People like myself by 90% or more items online. More and more people are doing so.
Then, you go to the grocery store once every few months, And you encounter a negative social experience.
Negativity is not a good outlook to have towards customers. If you are standing around doing nothing but talking to your friends at work, you can be criticized for that just as well as you criticize a customer for forgetting to put a shopping cart away.
The fruit bowl got moldy and the front desk person said she and her children ate the moldy food all the time.😂The health department should help this place ASAP!
Good place to stop by and get some snacks and a drink they have a Starbucks inside

Well managed location - friendly and helpful staff.
Did you know you can get sushi with your food stamps? Or a cold deli sandwich?
I feel bad by doing this review since for me it’s always been a 5 star store I come here at least 3-4 times a week and employees always help out or are nice in any way till today I got a horrible experience with the florist lady “””JESSICA “””super rude , bad attitude , and very poor costumer service , she tried her best not to help out
Didn’t want to change my broken paper from the flowers, told me a different price without checking the computer , didn’t want to ring me in , and with a sarcastic way told me just bye
Big no you don’t do that to a client or to any person
