Safeway Burquitlam

Halida is a cashier you’d want to avoid. Not only is she extremely slow at scanning, she’s also extremely rude. Constant attitude, the dismissive shoulder shrug when you ask her a question and more! Please train her better or put her in a different department with the least amount of customer facing since she hates interacting with people so much.

Nice place but found some to be so caught up in themselves, they do not look up to see the customers Also found that little by little, my favorite items are no longer stocked and have to go to other stores

Shoppers BEWARE!!! Very over priced... very dirty specially outside....very over weight i guess Loss pervention Tried to stop us accusing of stealing then i provided receipt and with no apology or acknowledgment for his mistake walked away saying watch yourself. My wife and two kid's..... are you crazy. My little kids? I haveReached out to the store to management no response or apology. Thats nuts make it right safeway. No more shopping here. Not the first time ive seen this here either.... 40 days still no response

I have been shopping at Safeway Lougheed Mall, then Burquitlam for over 20 years. The Manager of the store is great. And the Manager (?) Of the bakery dept. is awesome! Yesterday, after asking where the hot cross buns were, and him noticing when he pointed them out that there was only one or two left, he went and packed some fresh ones for me just out of the oven! That's service! The 91 year old lady I shop for every second Tuesday really appreciated it! And, without question, the best till cashier clerk is Cinzia (sorry, my spelling is probably off). She always rebags meat and is always extra careful to pack heavy first, delicate on top. She is so pleasant and friendly! Honestly, I come back these days, even though I moved to Pitt Meadows, because of Cinzia! All the staff at this store are friendly and helpful! ...oh, the gentleman in produce who likely reads more, you know who you are, ...always so helpful!!! Thank you everyone at Safeway Burquitlam! Price is always cheapest in that region.

Good selection of produce and there are some good deals if you keep your eye open. The store is generally organized and clean, and there are 2h free parking available under the store. My issue is with the staff. 2 staff members, Maryam and someone with no name tag busy talking in their native language, while I’m waiting at the empty checkout lane. No greeting and they continue chatting while checking out my items. Waiting with my scene card for her to scan but she’s distracted and talking to her friend. Honestly, it’s customer last in this store. I won’t come here again.
