The food was phenomenal. I had the Cuban bowl and it was full of flavor. My daughter had Carne Asada fries which were great. If you like Latin food give it a shot. I doubt you will be disappointed.
I was in Chrlotte for the basketball game in Spectrum theater & I picked up this restaurant because it popped out due to it's Latin American Branding as compared to very common routine of Mexican restaurant. I simply loved Sabor. It's a unique Latin American restaurant. It is not a fast food restaurant. I tried Street food from the Menu, "Arepas Tradiconal" & "Gordita", both were delicious & fresh. Yuka fries were tasty, especially with their sauce. Chicken Fajitas soup had a unique taste & a must try. Best of all was their Freshly made Guacamole, I haven't had such a delicious FRESHLY made Guacamole ever. And the chips were very crispy & fresh. Please don't forget to try fresh Salsa from the Salsa bar, Verde was the best. I loved Chrurros & unique Guava Pineapple Empanadas for Dessert. Chrurros was filled with chocolate. This restaurant is definitely a must visit to enjoy Latin American food.
Food here is mediocre and overpriced for what it is. On top of that, 11$ for carne asada fries, I’d like to have a portion that makes sense. This wouldn’t be enough for my toddler. The fries were under cooked and the meat is dry. No seasoning either. Also got the elote. The Corn tasted boiled, with again no flavor. I had ordered extra chicken for my burrito, got charged extra, but if that’s what extra protein looks like I would hate to know what a regular serving is. The table was not wiped down prior to seating. There were also bins of chips sitting on top of an oven (not covered or under a heat lamp). As a proud Puerto Rican I’ve been eating all kinds of Spanish food my whole life and I’ve been to a lot of bad restaurants but THIS place ….
Hands down the best food I ate in Charlotte!!!! They are a must try!!!!
