It is a must go place in Halifax. I highly recommend for everyone to have a coffee and a piece of cake there.
Super friendly staff and nice setting of the place with a great view. Cake was delicious and very soft. Coffee was surprisingly decent and out of my expectation.
So nice place for coffee. With rum cake is also nice. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Next door to Sugah, famous icecream shop at waterfront. Please eat rum cake with caramel sauce, it goes well.
J'ai pris la part de gâteau préparée sur place, l'arôme de rhum était riche et bien présent
Rum cake is awesome love it
The cake has no taste of Rum whatsoever. It's the blandest, soggiest cake I have ever had. And it's overpriced! Save your money and get a donut at Tim's.. it will be a better experience overall.
The cake was delicious. We ate in and the ladies that helped us were wonderful. We shared a piece. They warmed the cake up a touch, covered it in whip cream and a drizzle. It was great. One of us had never had it before and he loved it. Ate most of it lol. It was very light and moist. He was surprised as he had thought it would be heavier, more dense. So he was very pleasantly surprised. Definitely reccomend. Grab a slice and watch the world go by then grab one to take home.
During my recent visit to Halifax, I stumbled upon Rum Runners Rum Cake Factory, a delightful little shop known for its exceptional rum cakes. Tucked away in a charming location, this factory not only sells cakes but also offers a unique glimpse into the art of rum cake making.
Atmosphere: The moment I walked in, the aroma of sweet rum and baking cake enveloped me, creating an inviting and warm atmosphere. The decor, inspired by maritime themes, added a touch of local charm.
Service: The staff at Rum Runners were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They happily shared the history of their cakes and even offered samples of different flavors. Their enthusiasm for their product was infectious and added to the overall experience.
The Cakes: Now, onto the main attraction - the rum cakes. I tried several flavors, including the classic golden rum, chocolate, and coconut. Each cake was moist, rich in flavor, and had just the right amount of rum to give it a kick without overpowering the other ingredients. The balance of flavors was impeccable.
