Bravo! Best Italian food and experience in Cincinnati! Vegetarian options: The eggplant Parmesan is the best I’ve ever had!
Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Everything about this place is amazing! Had a 7:30 reservation and they sat us immediately. The atmosphere was intimate, romantic, and so cozy; each table had a little table light which you could change the lighting to whatever you desired. We had a perfect table for 2 with a great view but also a good amount of privacy. We were immediately greeted and served our drinks and appetizer. The blood orange cocktail was light and refreshing and the garlic knots were incredible! Fresh and warm with a super soft center, and the sauce was fresh, a great way to start our meal. The chicken parmesan was delicious and huge! Definitely the best I’ve had. The shrimp scampi was amazing and had the perfect amount of spice, I’m not a seafood fan but it was delicious! I recommend adding pasta with your dish to make it even better. Our server was amazing, and even boxed our leftovers for us! We finished with a cappuccino and their cannoli cookie with gelato. It was so sweet, warm, and a perfect ending to a wonderful evening. The best part was we never felt rushed to finish our meal or to pay and leave. We were able to relax and enjoy our meal and each others company. This place is not talked about enough, my new favorite place and will definitely be back!
My wife and I tried this place out for the first time a few months ago and loved it! So much that we went again over the weekend for my birthday. The atmosphere is very moody with a dim overall setting and individual lights at each table. The staff is always fantastic and very knowledgeable of the menu. And the food is out of this world. We always start off with the Arancini and Roasted Broccolini and then my wife gets the Rigatoni alla Vodka and I get the Chicken Parm. Everything is always hot and fresh and the portions are very generous. The Chicken Parm comes with not one, but TWO hammered out chicken cutlets that are the size of the plate that they are served on. I get my fill and then I am able to make 2 or 3 Chicken Parm sandwiches with my leftovers over the next few days. Cincy has a pretty good Italian food scene with Sotto, Pepp & Dolores, etc. but I think Rosie's deserves to be in that conversation as well.
Overall they have delicious food and a romantic environment. It was nice but not stuffy and the service was great. Perfect for an intimate birthday celebration. The one downside is it felt a little too expensive. The pricing was on par or more expensive than some of the other nice Italian restaurants we have visited. The food was good, but to us it didn't have the wow factor that some of the other places have for the same cost. Of course this is subjective so ultimately, I would definitely recommend trying them out for yourself! Vegetarian options: There were a few different vegetarian options on the menu. We didn't have a hard time finding things to order and they were willing to make minor changes to accommodate us such as leaving the meat off of the house salad and mushroom carbonara.
I am surprised why this place doesn't have more reviews or is not as popular as it should be. It is undoubtedly the best Italian restaurant in Cincinnati. Had some of the best pastas and drinks here. And nothing is overpriced. We started with a Ricotta Toast and it was so much better than we could have expected and also very filling. The sauce on the Gnocchi is insanely good. I am not a fan of Gnocchi in general but I was in love with this dish. Really good pizzas too. We also had the sweetest server. Very polite and took great care of us. We were celebrating our anniversary so they also gave a flute of champagne to celebrate. Definitely give this place a try.
We loved our meal at Rosie’s. Every dish was crafted with love and layered with flavor. The service is a team approach and we were so well served. Thank you to the chefs, managers, hostess, and servers for a very enjoyable evening at Rosie’s!!!
